' dance anywhere' is an annual conceptual art project dedicated to challenging and transforming the public’s perceptions of where and how dance can occur. By inviting dancers from around the world to stop and dance on a specific date and time, the project integrates dance into everyday public spaces and exposes unsuspecting audiences to inspiring dance. Over 1,500 dancers have participated in the event since 2005. 'dance anywhere' performances have occured in many sites across California as well as in New York, Chicago, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Florida, Chile, Switzerland, France, Italy, and Africa.
